Guardianship, Conservatorship, and Protective Placement
Sometimes it becomes necessary to petition the court
for appointment of a guardian or conservator for a family member who can no
longer take care of him or herself. Today, in order to obtain placement in a
nursing home or group home, a guardianship and protective placement is often
required. In addition, government financial assistance programs for
some community and group home services may require an order for protective
services. |
